Job Summary

Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a leading global provider of technology and manufactured solutions.
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, supporting LAN, WAN, VoIP infrastructures, and contributing to the architecture and design of networks and Microsoft Architectures. Provides advanced level technical support for voice and data network systems. Creates and maintains network, hardware, software, standards, and documentation. Responsible for the delivery of projects/ tasks on an ongoing basis. Partners and provides an elevated level of customer service to meet the needs of the user community.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Networking and Telecom
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience, education, or certifications
  • Certifications/ Proven course attendance on:
    • Microsoft Certifications: 365 Fundamental, Azure Administrator, Windows 2022, or latest Infrastructure
    • Desired Cisco: CCNA, or similar Networking certifications
  • An understanding of system and network architectures to contribute to, read, and follow designs

Networking concepts and tools including:

  • LAN, WAN, VoIP (Voice and Data Network Systems)
  • Switching and Routing protocols
  • Wi-Fi Access Points
  • Domain policies
  • Network system performance monitoring
  • Network hardware and software applications
  • Understanding of MPLS, VPNs and Traffic Engineering
  • Firewalling, antivirus systems, and network security competency

Systems and Infrastructure concepts and tools including:

  • Microsoft and Virtualization Systems (AD maintenance, Azure Cloud, VMware)
  • Back-ups and Storage
  • Understanding of Microsoft Architecture

Capabilities

  • Capable of assuming responsibility for minor projects, leading a team and assigning priorities and responsibilities
  • If involved with external suppliers, able to support the ICT team to develop proposed solutions, evaluating the architecture already in place and guarantee service continuity.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and implement the existing network infrastructure, server and firewalling, monitoring performance to propose the most appropriate technical solutions.
  • Performs advanced level service desk activities, realizes, and updates the technical documentation.
  • Interface regularly with other teams within the company or external partners.
  • Assist less experienced technical personnel.
  • Ability to work in an internal team environment sharing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Interact directly with other functions’ colleagues and external suppliers under general guidance.

  • Overall infrastructure expertise Switches, Protocols, antivirus systems, Wi-Fi Access Points, Backups, and domain policies.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users having various levels of computer expertise. Ability to design workable solutions to problems in a timely manner.
  • Requires knowledge of existing and modern technologies.
  • Self-disciplined, initiative-taker, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance, and oversight.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of networks, firewalling, security, and Microsoft Architectures.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like MPLS, VPNs and Traffic Engineering.
  • Manages Network Projects, architecture, and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Manages on-going maintenance of infrastructure systems.
  • Monitors network system performance and implements performance tuning.
  • Advanced troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
  • Works with cross functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology.
  • Assists with the IT Manager departmental management with development of system standards, short- and long-term goals, project management, and strategic direction.
  • Will exercise independent judgement and decisions on a broad range of technical and automated systems architectures but defers final decision to IT Manager.
