• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture more broadly.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar).

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks (GitHub, Azure DevOps).

• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, security, and cloud governance best practices, including Conditional Access, RBAC, NSGs, and cloud firewalls.

• Experience with production support, incident response, and on-call troubleshooting in Azure.

• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell or similar).

• Proven AI-Assisted Engineering experience in infrastructure automation and cloud-operations

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience supporting enterprise cloud transformation, standardization, or modernization initiatives.

• Experience with M&A-driven cloud infrastructure integration.

• Familiarity with Azure CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework) and Well-Architected Framework.

• Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven enterprise environments.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• Relevant Azure certifications preferred (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

Core Competencies:

• Ability to quickly learn and evaluate emerging cloud technologies

• Commitment to operational excellence, standardization, and platform reliability

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Functions

• Leads the design, build, deployment, and ongoing evolution of enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure across compute, networking, identity, storage, and security domains.

• Leads development of reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and automation frameworks — including scripting, Azure Automation, and CI/CD pipelines — to standardize provisioning, configuration, and deployment.

• Leads development of standardized, self-service deployment patterns (golden paths, templates) that advance platform engineering maturity across technology teams.

• Handles production support escalations for the Azure platform, including participation in an on-call rotation for incident response and troubleshooting.

• Leads disaster recovery planning and resiliency architecture for Azure environments, including failover design and DR testing.

• Integrates cloud solutions into existing enterprise infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

• Produces and maintains architecture/technical design documentation, deployment documentation, and engineering standards.

• Define enterprise cloud architecture principles and lead architecture reviews to enforce them.

• Drive AI-Assisted Engineering best practices by establishing standards and governance for AI-assisted SDLC, cloud anomaly detection and IaC automation.

• Lead the technical discovery, dependency mapping, architecture design and migration planning of complex enterprise workloads from physical data centers to Azure cloud environments.

• Collaborates with architects, security, networking, and development teams to implement governed, repeatable cloud solutions.
