Quality Engineer

Wright Technical is supporting a prominent manufacturing client in Southeastern Pennsylvania who is actively seeking a dedicated Quality Technician/Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of quality in the production of plastic injection molded components, catering to the company’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
– Perform quality measurements and inspections on plastic injection molded components, ensuring adherence to specified tolerances and quality standards.
– Execute validation measurements and documentation processes for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Validation Protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).
– Collaborate closely with production teams to identify potential quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
– Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving discussions to address non-conformance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
– Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and measurements, ensuring compliance with internal and external auditing requirements.
– Support quality audits and assist in the preparation of quality reports and documents for management review.
– Provide training and guidance to team members on quality standards, measurement techniques, and best practices.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Quality Technician or Engineer with a strong understanding of quality measurement techniques specific to plastic injection molding.
– Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical process control (SPC).
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
