Job Summary
Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a highly respected Consulting Company for this role.
We are seeking an experienced EDI Support Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (Dynamics AX) and IBM’s EDI translator software. This role is ideal for a seasoned software developer, engineer, or architect looking for flexible, side-project work. You will focus on resolving EDI-related incidents, onboarding new EDI feeds, and ensuring smooth data exchanges between companies using standardized formats.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ Years of hands-on technical experience.
• Strong understanding of EDI concepts, standards, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (Dynamics AX).
• Proficiency with IBM’s EDI translator software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis for data translation errors.
• Ability to work independently and manage requests with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external IT staff.

Description and Responsibilities

• EDI Issue Resolution:
• Analyze and resolve EDI-related issues, including data translation failures and feed errors.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and fix issues with data mapping and translations.
• Monitor daily EDI processes and respond to requests or tickets promptly (1-2 day turnaround).
• Client Support:
• Collaborate with clients and suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve feed-related issues.
• Assist in remapping fields or correcting data based on client-specific needs.
• Onboarding New Feeds:
• Work with external IT teams to set up and test new incoming EDI feeds.
• Provide project support for onboarding new clients or integrating systems (e.g., payroll systems).
• Continuous Monitoring:
• Perform regular checks of EDI systems to ensure data flows correctly between systems.
• Proactively address potential issues before they escalate.
